how to CHOOSE SETTINGS
Allows you to choose settings for private circuits (including interconnect link, megastream ethernet and learningstream ethernet) plus ISDN and PSTN faults (including ISDN2, ISDN30, local loop unbundling, Wholesale multi-line and web call connect) which will affect the display of eCo.Repair Fault Reports forms and Search results.  You also have the ability to change your Memorable Information  settings (looping only).



You choose your settings by:

Selecting SETTINGS from the eCo.Repair Menu Bar.



and the following window is displayed:




     
1. To pre-populate a Fault Report form enter your contact details:

 
  • Name.
  • Telephone Number.



    2. To enable the Search Fault Preferences to filter the Search Fault Result list:
         
     
  • Select from the drop down menu:

     

    q      

    Maximum number of faults to be displayed.  These can be 50, 100, 250, 500, 750 or ALL.

     

    q      Page Refresh Time is the frequency that the search results page will be refreshed.  This refresh interval can be set at either 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240 seconds or Never.


  • Check the settings of faults to be hidden or displayed. These settings include:

     

    q       Display my faults only displays faults you have created via eCo.Repair.

     

    q      Hide faults awaiting closure faults which are awaiting closure are not displayed.

     

    q       Hide faults in retest faults which are being re-tested are not displayed.

     

    q       Display updates from BT instead of fault status

    shows the last BT update details.


     

    q       Hide closed faults faults which are closed are not displayed.

     

    q       Hide non service effecting faults faults which do not affect the service are not displayed.

     

    q       Hide interconnect circuit faults private interconnect circuit faults are not displayed.



    3. Select the Enter button for your settings to be accepted.  Once your settings have been accepted you will be returned to the Main Window.
      If you select the Cancel button the settings process will be abandoned and you will be returned to the  Main Window.

    How to Choose Private Circuit Settings
    All the settings displayed below in the eCo.Repair Settings window apply to private circuits (including interconnect link, megastream ethernet and learningstream ethernet):




    Note:  The settings ticked in the eCo.Repair Settings window above are the basic settings which BT recommends are used for Private Circuits.


    1. Select the above settings.


    2. Select Enter.

    How to Choose ISDN and PSTN Fault Settings
    The settings ticked in the eCo.Repair Settings window below are recommended by BT for ISDN and PSTN faults (including ISDN2, ISDN30, local loop unbundling, Wholesale multi-line and web call connect):





    1.  Select the above settings.


    2. Select Enter.

    How to Change Memorable Information
    If you have the circuit looping facility enabled you will have been given some Memorable Information.  The Memorable Information  is part of the Security Check which must be entered prior to using the looping option.  The looping option is accessed via  Diagnostic Menu Bar, Circuit Looping.

    Once you have used the Memorable Information during your eCo.Repair session you can change it by viewing the Settings menu.  The Memorable Information fields are displayed at the base of the User Settings window.

    Note:  Applies only to user with circuit looping permissions enabled.


    You can change your current Security Check details by entering:

    1. Enter your current Memorable Information details.


    2. Enter your new Memorable Information details.


    3. Re-enter your new Memorable Information details.


    4. Select the Enter button.


    Note: Memorable Information  must contain no spaces and be formed of a phrase between six and fifteen characters long, containing at least two numerals and no repeat characters.


    Your new Memorable Information details will be accepted onto the system.
